BRINGS MAY FLOWERS
4.8% italian pils

Y'all know we love lager, right? Well luckily for us all, so does our buddy Dave over at Mindful Ales. We were supremely pleased to be able to get him over to our place on a beautiful day in the beginning of April to fire up this Italian Pils recipe we worked up together. Based on some of our favorite recent lager tweaks, most notably a mountain of whole cone Perle in our hopback before setting the beer off to patiently ferment and lager for two months. At the very tail end, we hit it one more time with a gentle dry hopping of Mandarina Bavaria for some extra funsies.
What came out is one of our favorite pale lagers to date. Beautifully crisp and dry, with firm bitterness courtesy of Hallertau Mittelfruh and the aforementioned Perle, but with lovely floral and citrus aromatics from the dry hopping.
