Saison with Sangiovese
A blend of foudre-aged, mixed-culture sour rye ale, refermented with Sangiovese grapes from Wheatfield Vines Vineyard in Umatilla County, Oregon, aged for another nine months in white wine barrels and former Old Line Spirits Single Malt Whiskey and Oloroso Sherry hogsheads. Part of the Cellar Society Quasicrystal series, in collaboration with Cascade Brewing.

On tap at Wolves & People, pours a cloudy bright dark red with a small off-white head. Aroma has a wonderfully expressive grape character, some wild yeast, and wild yeast. Flavour is complex and deep, with elegant grape skins, juicy parts of the grapes, light mustiness, and a nice wild yeast character. Complex and wonderfully constructed. Excellent.
