Trouble in paradise! A frivolous damsel enters the scene. It is a young lady that over a few months matured in oak wine barrels, which gave her a deep but soft-bitter tannin aftertaste. The taste is full and complex because the brewers induced a controlled souring during the ripening process. The Mam´zelle is by origin a blond beer. Ripening gave her a soft red glow. This is the reason why she is called ‘high-blond’. The alcohol percentage is 8.5 volume. Brewers maintain that she is ‘untameable’.

0,33l bottle at home from Etre Gourmet (thanks to Saeglopur). BB 13.01.2018. copper rather hazy color, small white head. smells of wood, coconut, some funk, some marzipan, very light vinegar, light green apples, some bitter herbs, quite a lot of cheese. very very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick moiuthfeel. tastes of vinegar, red wine notes, some wood, rather sweetness / obvious sugar, bitter herbs, some marzipan, light blue cheese. finishes bitter / sweet with notes of red wine and marzipan. lovely smell, taste does not fall into place though, lots of vinegar but also very sugary, good but not totally convincing.

Tap into a wineglass showing lightly filtered honey yellow and ever present sparse white foam. The nose shows round peaches with non-citric lemon. The palate is medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Flavors of very light port, raisins, caramel and bready malts. Mid-palate transitions to flavors of light lemon. Mild and harmonious tartness. All flavors come together brilliantly and well.

Flaska från SB. Smak och doft av ekfat, laktos, äppelvinäger, plommonkärnor med toner av körsbär. Fin syrlighet, lagom sötma, något kärv, fin beska. Mycket gott!

Bottle pour at The Sovereign during the evening with Brouwerij De Leite event. Poured with an orange haze, with a light yellow edge to it in the glass. Aroma was very light and muted, very mild malts. Flavor was very light, delicate. Very mild sour notes. The beer does coat your teeth with light sour notes.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Airy, off-white head, leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Misty orange coloured body. Dry and tart nose with an impact of yeasty. Flavour profile follows suit with sour fruit, yeast and cheese. Lingering mid-dry, tart and sweet ending. Refreshing cleanser, Food friendly with the fish (Tromsø 09.07.2016).
