Spezial, our Vienna-style lager, is brewed with a touch of caramel malt to create its distinct soft malty character. It pours deep copper in color with a fluffy off-white head. A lightly toasted note is perfectly balanced by a delicate hop character. An open fermentation using our classic lager yeast leaves a crisp and dry finish.

Appearance: dark golden/bronze color with about a rocky finger and a half's worth of white frothy head which dissipated to leave some light messy lace
Aroma: biscuity to bready notes with some hop spice and a light note of alcohol
Flavor: love how this shifts to mainly just the biscuity/breadiness with a touch of honey and then a pinch of hop spice; mild finish of bready to biscuitiness and slight caramel
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; great smoothness with nothing distracting anywhere and a good medium carb level
Overall: nice easy drinking amber lager worth coming back to.
