This is our third foray into this hoppy style, after trying a few from some East coast breweries that specialize in such things. Research has said for years that you are wasting hops if you put more than 4-5lb/bbl of hops into a beer. Like most studies, other parameters are usually held constant, and ignore the cross-term higher order effects of other parameters. The grist, water, and hopping methods used in this beer would make a historical German brewer cry, and some textbooks say the processes used won't even make beer (incorrectly), but it gives the compounds in hops we love more places to permanently bind in the liquid. For this batch we used Citra hops from @yakimachief in 4 different forms, along with one of our favorite NZ hops, Superdelic. The extreme Citra dosage gives an intense flavor of Orange Juice, and the Superdelic comes through with trippy-tropical passion fruit notes, with total cold side hop dosage over 10lb/bbl. You can't even shine a flash light through this super opaque beer, and we worked very hard to keep it a light yellow color.

16oz can. A fun show of Amorphic's haze prowess. Awesome aroma. Superdelic definitely accentuates the outright massive Citra. Quite an awesome beer. Perfect strength for the massive display of hops. Intense.
