Sometimes a beer is just a beer. Sometimes it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger.
General Order No. 3 is part of a statewide Juneteenth collaboration bringing breweries together in recognition of freedom, resilience, and community.
When we were invited to participate, we were honored to join the effort and support the Nonprofit Professionals of Color Collective. For every draft pour and every four-pack sold, we will donate $1 directly to the organization.
While the recipe was provided by our friends at Oakflower as part of the collaboration, we approached this beer the same way we approach a Director's Cut release: by pulling out all the stops.
We started by knocking out directly onto Citra Incognito before layering in a massive dry hop of Citra, Citra Cryo, Nelson Sauvin, and the special MJF Hop Blend. Created in partnership with the Michael James Jackson Foundation, the blend features equal parts Citra®, Citra LUPOMAX®, Elani®, and El Dorado®, amplifying bright citrus, tropical fruit, and expressive hop character.
The result is a beer that is both purposeful and packed with flavor. At 7.1% ABV, this one is a straight juice bomb bursting with notes of mango, citrus, pineapple, and ripe tropical fruit.
Beer has always been at its best when it brings people together. We're proud to be part of this collaboration and excited to share General Order No. 3 with all of you.

16 oz can from AE, 6/24/26. Released last week in honor of Juneteenth. Fully hazy yellowish-orange color with a fully creamy off-white head. Very juicy aroma, with orange juice, pineapple, mango, papaya, and passion fruit all coming through. Drinks fairly sweet, with a milder bitterness to the finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and very creamy, soft and sweet, with fairly short duration that thins out a little quicker than expected. Really flavorful, sweet, juicy IPA, that I really enjoyed, but would be even better with a bit of a bitter punch to extend the finish. Really fun overall.
