Sampled on draft this beer poured a red brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was semi sweet with caramel, malt and wood. The flavor was toasty malt, wood, bread crust and a hint of caramel. Medium length finish. Medium body.

On tap at the World Beer Festival - Columbia on 01/22/2011. Slightly hazy dark amber body with a small tan head. Sweet nutty and light caramel aroma. Big nutty and light toffee flavor with some caramel. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Draft at the source. Hazy medium brown color, small white head. Aroma of toasted caramel. Tastes like a sweet and light Newcastle.
