You know the one. He arrives late, dressed impeccably and is consistently the most fascinating person at backyard BBQs. Trophy Uncle is a juicy, hazy IPA featuring Citra, Citra Cryo, Krush, and Nelson hops, bringing bright citrus, tropical fruit, peach, and white grape flavors. It’s full-on flavor flex from the least responsible (therefore coolest) adult at the family shindigs.

Aromas are malt, resin, grapefruit and herbs. Flavors are similar to nose with good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. A bit sweet in the finish. Decent but been done many times before.

Pours a hazy, kind of washed-out, lemon-grapefruit color, with minimal head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit. Flavor follows, with kind of a weird, musty-rubber aftertaste. Mouthfeel is kind of thin for the style. Moderate hop bitterness in the finish. Was hoping for something better from these 2 breweries.
