Just a moose, peering out from somewhere it has no business being.
Moose Encounter is our latest collab with @outdoorgearexchange. Brewed in honor of that one time a moose ran loose in Winooski, convincing at least one kid they’d seen “the biggest dog” ever. It’s a mango-kissed IPA: bright, hazy, and tropical, with juicy mango, citrus hops, and a soft, pillowy body.
Made to enjoy at the top of a mountain, the end of the trail, or wherever you roam this Summer.

Appearance: thick orange cardboard colored haziness with a three and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light messy lace
Aroma: absolutely awesome blend of the hops (seemed mixed citrusy, piney and a touch of mango toned hops) then the mango sweetness from the mango itself seemed to blend exceptionally nice
Flavor: the initial taste was awful and I had to take a step back thinking how could something smell so awesome then the flavor seem to be so off? Well, I did let this breathe a bit more before totally disregarding this beer and that's when more piney bitterness came across and seemed to cause the mango to become bitter as well; finishes dry and bitter and coming across very piney
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; some smoothness but also a good deal of bitter drying effects gripping the tongue
Overall: this may be one of the oddest "flavored IPA's" I've had to date and I thought the previous one I had was weird.
