Saapumiserä (“intake batch”) is Tuju and Tuju Taproom’s proto-style house beer series, released in numbered service batches. The surroundings of the Tuju brewery and Taproom, located in an old military garrison area, haven’t heard the clatter of marching steps or songs for a while, but Saapumiserä is sure to keep vocal cords limber.

This beer has been crafted with the help of a full company of buzzing pollinators. A summery, lively, and delightfully dry grisette has been seasoned with a generous dose of local honey from Kuorttinen farm, gathered from meadows and wildflower fields with military precision.
The result is a light yet layered field beer: fruity, gently citrusy, floral, and firmly dry, while the honey adds a soft, rounded edge. This is a true lunch beer, designed equally for marching breaks as for long mess hall tables where the next move is never in a hurry.

(Keg at Juova, 20260723) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had honey, spiciness and floralness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, floralness, spiciness, grass, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste had floralness, earth and bitterness. A good and balanced spicy brew.

0,75l bottle from the brewery. Bottled 6/2026, bbe 12.6.2027. Bit hazy very light/pale yellow beer with huge cloudy head. Aroma is yeast, floral notes, citrus and honey. Flavor follows. Crispy and dry. Easy, bit watery.
