Original review text: Bottle. Deep dark brown color., almost opague. Malt, roast and licorice in the aroma. Medium bodied. Bready, malty flavor with licorice, hints of chocolate and caramel. Bottle, 7% ABV, BB 12.10.2018 (from hetbiermoment). Pours dark copper with beige head. Aroma is classic bocky notes - malt, caramel, grains, some burnt notes. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malt, caramel, burnt notes, some vegetables, black bread, bit milkyness. Finish is burnt sugar. Alcohol is well covered. Overall: Salvator this is not, but what is beside the o.g. Salvator?! This is still very good beer and very underrated. Bottle from Local Swap from RW80. Thanks! Honeyish maltiness and sweetness dominates the aroma and is also strong in flavour. In flavour moderate hoppiness adds a much needed balance, also moderate bitterness. The beer remains overall sweet and caramelly though. Full bodied, warming, sipper. Good though.
