Pours with a small tan head that fades over a nearly black hued body. Aromas are obviously aged. Vinous, raisins, marmalade, tons of dark fruit, sherry, milk chocolate. Light oxidation but not bad. A bit port like. Flavors are still a bit roasty, thin, raisins, marmalade. Jammy, dark fruit, currants. Vinous, chocolate. A bit chalky in the finish. Thin, medium to low body, medium carbonation.

Pour is a jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is some coffe and roasted malts. Flavor is weak. No real malts or hops are present and this is very watery. Maybe this was old? Sure not Impy like at all. The dissapointment of hop in he city 2006.

Hop in the City: This is a nice sipping imperial stout though not as thick in body or mouthfeel as other imp stouts I have had which is nice. It has notes of chocolate, roasted malts and hops in the aroma. The flavor is full of malts, coffee and sweet chocolate with a slight hop presence and a bit of smoke. Enjoyable.
