Bottle. Clear, reddish color. Aroma is the pleasant floral type hoppy smell. Taste is pretty good too. Love the mild floral hops that are a tad bitter but not the smack you in face kind.

Reviewed from notes.
This one was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to red color with a small one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing.
The smell had a decent rolling caramel maltiness invading my nose that leveled off a bit as it warmed.
The taste was mainly malty sweet with a light bitter kick close to the end.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed appropriate and didn’t have anything that told me this was bad.
Overall, not a bad American Amber/Red. I’d probably get it again the next time I’m in Virginia.

12 oz bottle. Beer pours a dark, rich red color with a very small head. Aroma is malty, with notes of yeast. Flavor is malty, with touches of bread and yeast. Another flavor I can’t quite place. Okay, but certainly not the best I’ve had from them.

No aroma save for that of wet dog which is attributable more to the dirty glass than the beer. Cloudy rust colored, no head. Metallic and dirty tasting. The metal taste continues long after drinking. Looks and tastes rusty, hand to God. Very peculiar and not at all my cup of tea(or mug of beer). I’m very disappointed, because I actually like this brewer’s other offerings.

12 oz bottle courtesy of dkachur-pours a rich light tan head with amber color. Aroma is light/medium malt-cocoa/peat, slight sweetness. Taste is light/medium malt-cocoa/peat (English), slight sweetness. At the finish a slight hint of hops, yeast (&diacytl?). Minimum carbonation. An easy Mild.
