Here is a father’s toast to his son. Brewed with cocoa nibs and lactose, Hunter boasts a creamy texture and rich chocolate flavor. Vanilla, roast, and caramel sweetness are met with a bright hop bitterness. Complex enough to pair with dinner or dessert. Suave enough to skip the meal altogether. A chip off the old block, alright.

Can, from Beer Run. Pours opaque dark brown with creamy tan head, very faint soy sauce aroma, low carbonation, bitter mocha taste with rum like alcohol undertones, nutty, burnt malt, thin body, long finish. Bitter and strong.

Pour is a motor oil black with a small tan head. Aroma is a decent equal parts roasted dry malt and sweet chocolate. Flavor is a really nice sweet chocolate with some roasty malt. Very flavorful with lots of chocolate. Really well done.

Canned about hald a year before enjoying. Pours a pitch black colour, oily, with a dark brown head. Aroma's of firm roast, umami, ground coffee. Retronasal it's sweetish, roasted, almost burnt, dark caramel, mocha, umami. Flavour is heavy sweet with some drop/licorice candy, roasted malt. Pretty full bodied. Alcohol is warming. Almost sticky mouthfeel. Long finish with roast caramel, light bitterness. Pretty sweet, but nice stuff!

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at BrewDog Tower Hill. Pours seriously thick motor oil black with a foamy, fading beige head. Delicious beer, sweet but not at all excessive, with nice rich, ashy roasted malt character that balances out the dark sugars. Also notes of raisins, scorched earth, espresso. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Finishes with restrained boozy warmth, more ash, earth, baking cocoa, strong espresso, dried berries. Wow, hugely impressed with this one. Yeah it's hearty and has a lot of character, but it's the balance and drinkability that really draw me in.

Can at boothill. Aroma of creamy chocolate, lacto, licorice and creamy malt. Taste has creamy chocolate, caramel, salmiak, licorice and malt. Good one.
