First brewed 20 years ago, Hellfire Amber Ale is our longest-running core beer and a true constant in our range.

A favourite of those who have visited our High Country home and drinkers across Australia, Hellfire is a throwback to classic amber ales built on balance, quality and consistency. It has stood firm through decades of change.

To celebrate our 20th anniversary, we have turned things up with our first-ever Imperial Hellfire.

Everything you love about the original, dialled right up. Expect a malt-driven amber with rich notes of caramel and toffee, finished with a subtle nuttiness.

Brewer Tasting Notes: “A fired‑up imperial take on our original classic. Huge caramel and toffee hit first, backed by deep sweet molasses and a touch of toasted nuttiness. Smooth, mid‑bodied and unapologetically malt‑forward, with a rich chewiness that’s pure toffee stick on the palate. Balanced bitterness reins things in just enough, before a warming, lingering finish.”

Aroma of toffee, sweet biscuit and molasses are a nice start, but in the mouth it's all a bit TOO imperial. The subtler flavours are overwhelmed by a very bitter hop taste and, and maybe some heat from the alcohol as well.
