Draft. Amber color with a nice head. Rich malty aroma, some fruity esters and caramel. Interestng esters in the flavor, like banana gum, plus a bit of caramel and earthy hops. Very bitter finish, lots of bittering hops. Nice full body. Tasty, drinkable, and fun. Good.

An amber lager with a thin off white head. In aroma, a smooth herbal malt with German hops. In mouth, a smooth grainy malt with German hops, mash tun, OK. Tasted at Raquette River Beer and Wine Fest, July 13 2012.

North Star, Ithaca tap ($6): Pours an amber color with a white head. Aroma is caramel malts and a bit of hops. The hops are, however, much stronger in the taste than they are in the aroma. Taste is somewhat malty, but not that much. This was not a very interesting beer, but it was well-balanced and it did have a nice hop profile.
