Quads, or Quadruples, were originally brewed by Trappist monks, possibly from one of the habitable planets of the Trappist 1 system 40 lightyears from Earth. Quadraspire was aged for 20 months in rye whiskey and bourbon barrels.

Capped 500 from the Santa Rosa venue. Pours opaque brown with an extremely transient head. Aroma of dark malt and rye. Full body. It is far from dry. It is very dark malty toffee. Both Rye and bourbon flavors are present, but I think the rye spice is dominant. It’s quite a smooth and flavorful zipper.
