Brownish orange pour from bottle. A malty essence and some choppy floral notes. Pretty decent.

Flaška: Copper coloured, some floaties visible; moderate bready-malty nose with a mild honeyish background; sweetish flavour with a very mild bitterness, barely medium bodied; sweetish-malty finish with a slightly increasing bitterness in the very end. Not that good…

Just after telling my friends no American breweries were brewing Biere de garde, here’s this one. adequate but lacking some of the floral/spice notes of the French style. Medium amber with small beige head, malt, spice, meadow. Something missing.

Bottle thanks to Dallas I believe. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. The aroma is big sweet hay and caramel, some dust. The flavor is a clear flavorful brew with light citrus, dusty sweet malts, bubblegum. Good.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Buy Rite, 9/7/12

Aroma: The nose is sweet malts, fruity, caramel/toffee, bread, spice, and a little bit of booze
Appearance: It pours a clear burnt reddish-orange color with a lasting beige head and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly sweet, it is heavily malty, with some fruity notes, and something off in the finish
Palate: The body is medium, with average carbonation, an alright feel, and a slightly off finish
Overall Impression: This beer will now mark the start to the weekend for me, and thank goodness, because for a short week, this was a long week. Anyway, this beer was alright, but it wasn’t particularly good.
