Pours hazy golden with a off-whit ehead. Aorma has notes of malt, pine, grassy and citrus hops. Taste is light to medium sweet, light sour and medium bitter. Body is medium, textire is oily, carbonation is soft.

Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont, DC 12oz ($4.50hh): Pours a yellow orange color with a white head. Aroma is of cheese and mushrooms and dirt (this is a good thing). I don’t think that most people who sampled this beer were seriously looking at the nuance present in this beer, because this beer was seriously dirty in the way a dub-step show is dirty, which people who listen to dub-step think is a good thing. In any case, in the taste there is plenty of hop bitterness and more earth. I didn’t quite get the almost smoke, but I got some of that tasty dirt and it was good. A unique beer worth drinking by one and all.

Tap @ the brewery ( DØE meeting ) Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of fresh floral and fruity hops. Taste is floral hops, grass, grapefruit, tangarines, melon. Medium body, soft carbonation. Easy drinkability. 150611

Tap. Poured a orange color, small head. Aroma was grapefruit notes, hops. Flavor was hops, malts, notes of caramel, slightly tart finish. Another beer that hid the alcohol quite well all things considered.

Aroma: The nose is caramel malts, fruit, some funky yeast, fruity belgian yeast, a little wood
Appearance: It pours a hazy amber color with a wispy white head and some lace
Flavor:The taste is malty/fruity sweetness, some spiciness and funk to it
Palate: Medium bodied with a somewhat creamy feel to it, also a little sticky, medium carbonation
Overall Impression: First off, this was not a Double IPA, but it was a decent beer. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't outstanding. It wasn't worth what they charged for it either.

Slow gusher. Huge coarse offwhite head. Amber body with intense carbonation. Fruity spicy Belgian yeast aroma with wood and lacquer notes. Dry-bitter wooden floral mineraly taste with earthy horse blanket notes. Light body. Intensely fizzy and somewhat harsh mouthfeel. Dry citric floral herbal aftertaste with ashy mineraly notes. A real challenge, this. Tastes like a double IPA with European hops and brett. More likely it’s just lightly infected. (0.5l bottle, Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

Crackers and grass on the nose. Shimmering amber, thin head good lace. Resiny orange with a pronounced biscuit and cracker base. Caskish mouthfeel, boozy triple sec finish. Well balanced, solid malt backbone that is not the least bit cloying. I liked it, but the accomplished homebrewer drinking it with me was unimpressed.
