A Russian Imperial Stout is simply a stout with extra everything! Despite what the name suggests the beer was first brewed in 19th century England for export to the Russian court.
Our interpretation of this style is a brooding beer with a thick body and generous tones of liquorice, coffee and chocolate. A robust and complex beer best enjoyed in moderate amounts.

Aroma: Dark roasted malt with fruity notes. Flavour: Dark roasted malt with notes of chocolate. Aftertaste is malty sweet and bitter. Colour: Dark reddish brown with a tan head. From: Bottle @ BestOfBeers webshop Oct. 2019.

Bottle. Aroma is rich, very fruity, very boozy, chocolate, oaty almost, marker pens! Taste is less harsh, chocolate, bit roasty, sweet choc finish. Nice enough.

Bottle from Garlic_of_Doom, thanks! Black, opague, pours a big head. Roast, ash, dark chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty sweet flavor with chocolate, and espresso in the flavor. Lovely imperial stout, fairly complex

Bottled 330ml. -from Spicy Days Zagreb. Black coloured, small to medium sized brownish head, chocolate and light caramel in the nose. Sweet roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, notes of wood and coffee with some alcohol in rather dry finish.

Today only RIS tasting. My first BIO RIS. Dziwny i sredniejm jakosci RIS, plus za ekologiczne skladniki, ale ani tu kawy nie czuc anio czekolady ani wedzonki. piana srednia opada szybko niczym szron po skrobaniu dzis rano przedniej szyby w aucie, kolor piany jasny, nijak sie ma jak do RISA, mallo ostry smak, owszem w miare jest wytrawnie wiec maslo slodowo, alkohol nie wyczuwalny. Ogol nie poprawny ris, ale ta butelka brzydka przypominala mi lagerki egzotyczne.
