Brewed with Pecans. Deep, rich malt flavors carry a subtle indication of roasted coffee. Smooth, yet slightly effervescent, mouthfeel carries with it a hint of sweet malts and subtle notes of alcohol. Slight, non lingering bitterness at the finish with undertones of toasted pecans and oak.

Sample from the brewery. Poured a clear, dark brown color with a nice slightly off-white head to it. Aroma was sweet malts, nutty character and a touch of chocolate. Flavor was a nice rich caramel flavor with a decent amount of nuttiness and vanilla in it. Touches of chocolate and coffee around the edges finish this one off. Very refreshing and the alcohol is pretty well masked, though there’s a bit of warming on the finish which was fun.

10oz pour at the Big Hunt pours a translucent, deep brown with one ring of white head. Nutty, sweet nose, malty, brown sugar, toffee, cookies. Flavor is sweet, toffee, brown sugar, malty. Full bodied, sweet finish. Non offensive. Hides the alcohol well. If the idea was to make a beer that would take to barrel aging well, then they did it.
