Keg at the brewery, 12/17/16. Dark brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of vanilla, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. The taste matches. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear, deep black-brown with a lasting, tan cream head. The nose holds hearty chocolate, vanilla, roast. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with creamy vanilla sauce, caramel, chocolate creme, mousse. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with some sticky toasted sugars, more creamy chocolate, cake, oily vanilla. Really tasty beer.

22 oz. bottle from a trade with Scott. Pitch black color. Aroma has a nice level of coffee bean, burnt grain and milk chocolate. The flavor is much the same with a nice level of roasted espresso bean, milk chocolate, and caramel. Body leans on the full side with a smooth texture over the palate. ABV is mostly hidden (or maybe 9% doesn’t phase me anymore)

The level of coffee is pretty nice and the mouthfeel is great. Well made.

Bomber. Big and juicy malt nose, vanilla, coffee, chocolate fudge, light berries, a touch of soy sauce. Light body, a bit thin, but great chocolate and vanilla flavors.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast and dark chocolate. Medium mouth with strong coffee bean, vanilla, roasted malt, light bitter finish, very good.

Rate #3,000! Thanks to everyone who has helped me get to this point! 4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey. Black with tan head. Aromas of coffee, cream, nutty notes. Tastes of coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, roast. Full body with a dry finish. Alcohol is well masked. Pretty good.

Draft at Churchkey for their SAVOR event. Poured a pitch black color, small tan head. Lot of coffee in this one, very roasted, lots of bitter notes to it. Flavor is similar, lots of bitter coffee grounds. Okay, but not as good as the other two Imp Stouts I had from them that night.
