One beer out of several from the brewery as part of a holiday package, a gift from my son. I checked the bottom of the pint can and found the beer to be severely out of date. No matter, I am giving this one a try. My Buffalo Bayou snifter receives the pour this evening and I proceed. A semi-clear, yellow-gold body finished by a substantial head of totally white foam. The taste is rather subdued. Lightly hoppy, grain, yellow fruit and a curious touch of spice. Honestly it tastes more like a Belgian golden ale than an IPA. All better than expected but still not that good. The age of the beer influencing or the real thing? I do not know. Drinkable in any case.
