From the October 2012 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a cloudy yellow-gold color with a medium sized foamy beige head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was soapy with vague fruits, cardboard and bubblegum. The flavor was dry and bitter with vague spicy and fruity hops that were a bit rough. There was an undercurrent of Pine-sol. Long dry, bitter and rough mixed hoppy finish with a hint of bubblegum. Moderately full bodied. Meh.

Can. An unclear golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of lemons and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a dry finish.

Can 1 pt. Courtesy of Steasy66. Pours a cloudy golden with a lacing white head. A little citrusy hops in the nose. Medium body, sweet malts and fruit with a dry and lightly citrusy hoppy finish. Decent if not really sophisticated. 140712

Tasty pale ale with a great hop-based fruitiness. Grainy and semisweet at first, 8-Bit quickly develops a citric hop middle, before fading into a grassy, grapefruit fade. Nice geek packaging too.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed at a north woods condo on a wedding weekend in St. Germain, WI. Couldn’t pass this one up due to the awesome artwork. Appearance is a slightly cloudy golden hay with a thin white head. Aroma of light hay, grassy hops, kind of grainy, nice light smell. Taste is pretty crisp with a light bitterness and a touch of lemon. There is something very filling about this one, in a different review the word ’biscuit’ was used and that must be it. Pretty good stuff, I can see this be refreshing on a nice hot summer day.

16oz can courtesy of Brian. Hazy orange-gold, big frothy white head. Fresh mellow citrus hop aroma. Pretty well done APA, lots of hop character, and a respectable toasty golden malt backbone. Some chewy caramel and rye tones, earthy. Comes off a touch bigger than the ABV would suggest, pretty full bodied. Grapefruit, orange, rind, Good beer, nails the style.
