Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a dark amber with a medium sized somewhat transient foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s malts and peanuts in the aroma plus traces of fudge. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture. Flavours are dark malts, hops and toffee with hints of honey. Traces of figs and dark fruit later and a little bitterness in the finish. This is decent – though I didn’t get any of the purported rum flavouring
