The new amber-toned brew features roasted malt character, with English two-row malts provide the beer with a maple aroma and pronounced chocolate, caramel and hazelnut top notes.

Amber brown with a light tan head. Toasted malts, caramel, light chocolate, some fruits in the aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is sweet malts, fruity, and some toasted malt. Not bad at all but itβs just super boring.

Location: 12 oz Bottle from Gilly's Feb '09
Overall Impression: Decent enough I guess, a little too sweet for my tastes. Not bad, but not great. Middle of the road beer, middle of the road score.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small frothy white head. Not much on the nose but a light malt. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. The taste is a roasted almond with chocolate and a sweet caramel finish. A decent brown ale from Linenkugels.

Twist off cap on a twelve oz bottle. Has a friendly bready uncooked dough yeasty aroma. A darker beer yet clear, must be filtered, heheh. Taste is very unique but I can’t really say its chocalate in nature. Quite full of flavor but its weirdly darkish is a good way. Strange mildly bitter almost chocolate but more like old wood or leather aftertaste. Different for a change.

12oz bottle-pours a foamy off white head and copper color. Aroma is fruity/yeast initially then improves with medium malt-chocolate/nutty, grain/husky. Taste does not quite mesh. Aspirin/chalky, fruity/yeast, medium malt-peat/chocolate/nutty, grain/husky, some earthy hops, artificial sweetener. Thanks jwc215 for picking this out.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an auburn color with a large tan head. The aroma was sour, tangy and indistinct. The flavor was bitter, roasty and lightly fruity with a touch of caramel. The finish was bitter and tangy. The mouthfeel was somewhat thin. Eh.

Pour is a clear dark brown with an average tan head. Aroma is sweet and nutty. Flavor deffinatly starts out on the nutty side and after the swallow more of a malt is left on the tounge. Its not offensive as that might seem. Very creamy beer but easy to drink. This would prob go real well with a nice glazed ham.

Bottle: Chestnut brown with a head that dissapated quickly. Mild aroma is toasty and nutty with a very deep sweetness. Tastes nutty and roasty, perhaps a bit of toffee. Again, there is a deep sweetness. Some floral stuff too.

Sample at Bodega. This beer is a clear amber-brown color with a medium thin beige head that diminishes quickly. Spotty lacing. Mildly nutty aroma with touches of malt and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, sweet maple and light hops. The finish is sweet and nutty with a short and sweet malt aftertaste. Just average overall.

Pours amber/nutty with beige head. Aroma is nutty with some cocoa nibs. Taste, lots of malts and hazelnuts leaving an after taste hoppy but enjoyable. Overall taste is weak, mostly nutty and malty.
