This gloriously amber-coloured ale is made with what is often considered to be the finest hop on earth, Simcoe. The result is a fantastically fruity finish with distinctly malty undertones.

Copper, clear, frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma of lemon citrus, soft fruity malts, soft zest, touch floral, fresh
Taste of some caramel, soft zesty, some roasted malts, soft lemon and grapefruit, slightly spicy, clean flavour
Palate - soft carb, medium body, good bitter sweet balance. Finish as main flavour, lingering citrus and malt
Overall - Quaffable beer, easy going, good flavour. Really should be in a 500ml bottle at 4.5%

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE Jun 2015, at William K Kurvi, 20140709) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, malts and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, fruitiness, pine, molasses and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. A tasty and full-flavoured brew for its ABV. Good.

4.5% bottle from CBB shared by Mick. Really fruity aroma. The taste is pine, earthy, a solid malt body with a good dash of spice. A solid beer. It doesn’t truly come off as an amber beer, nice beer though.

On cask at Au Bar. Appearance - amber with a nice head. Nose - rich oranges, gentle toffee and biscuits. Taste - ripe oranges with a bitter biscuit finish. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry bitter finish. Overall - I’d say this was a Bitter in style. Interesting.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 06/2015
Aroma is fruity and quite strong on English hops. Also some toffee and hay. Flavour has nuts, some toffee, English hops and some fruits. Finishes with lingering hops. Too much English hops here for my taste, but not bad still.
