Upland Wheat Ale is a classic rendition of the Belgian Witbier (white beer) style. We brew it with organic coriander and orange zest to be light on the tongue and refreshingly tart. In the tradition of the Belgian Wit style, Upland Wheat Ale is unfiltered, allowing suspended starches to create a cloudy, golden appearance. This is an everyday, every meal type of beer. It’s comforting on a cold winter day and refreshing on a hot summer evening. That’s why it’s one of our most popular brews and a flagship beer of our brewery.

Lemon and some pepper. Golden pour with ok head. A light bit of coriander. Soft flavour and easy drinking. Fizzy carbonation. Light tangy finish but petty clean. Can from advent calendar.

Pour is a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is a decent hit of coriander with some orange peel. Flavor is the same a real nice coriander and the orange kind of cleans the palate after the swallow. Pretty good wit beer with a heavy emphasis on the coriander.

16 oz. can purchased in St. Pete, FL. Pours a fairly clear pale yellow color with a white head and good retention. Spotty lacing. Light yeast aroma. Light yeast flavor too. A witbier light? Lots of streaming carbonation. Semi-crisp mouthfeel with a softer finish. Medium body. Decent for a witbier since the yeast isn't too heavy. I didn't get any citrus notes.

Tap. Pours clear pale straw, medium white head, creamy, good lacing. Aroma is light wheat, coriander, hint of urinal. Flavor is light sweet, minimal bitterness, wheat, orange, coriander. Light body. A bit of acidity.

Sample at the brewpub. Cloudy pale yellow color with a medium thin fizzy white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, wheat and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of citrus, coriander and wheat. The finish is fruity with a short spiced orange aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled in 07/2013. Pours very hazy golden straw color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big lemon, pear, apple, orange peel, coriander, clove, pepper, wheat, biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt, yeast, and spice notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, clove, wheat, biscuit, grass, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, orange peel, coriander, clove, biscuit, wheat, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of malt, spice, and yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and smooth mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a damn good witbier. All around good robustness and balance of malt, spice, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Smell seems to be pleasant, almost alky fruity. Decently clear but theres sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Fairly smooth at first lacking many nasty wheat ale attributes. Yea, you can taste the abundance if spice. Normally I don’t like spiced beers but for some reason it goes over well. Good co2 sizzle with a tad of lemon bite. Finish would be just a little better if it wasn’t so spicey. Yes, a wheat ale that shows some manners, such a lady.
