Upland Wheat Ale is a classic rendition of the Belgian Witbier (white beer) style. We brew it with organic coriander and orange zest to be light on the tongue and refreshingly tart. In the tradition of the Belgian Wit style, Upland Wheat Ale is unfiltered, allowing suspended starches to create a cloudy, golden appearance. This is an everyday, every meal type of beer. It’s comforting on a cold winter day and refreshing on a hot summer evening. That’s why it’s one of our most popular brews and a flagship beer of our brewery.

Draft. LIght yellow body. White head. Nose presents hints of coriander and orange peel. Some wheat and some light citrus. The taste is lightly tart and lightly sweet. Finish is tangy and lemony. Watery texture. Light to medium body. Nice carbonation. Refreshing.

draft - Pours hazy yellow with a thin head. The aroma is light yeast and citrus. The flavor has ample citrus notes and a bit of spice backing up the sweet wheat malts. The body is a touch thin, but not bad, and it has lively carbonation and a crisp finish. Pretty good.

Let me start off by saying that I sampled several beers from this brewer over the past weekend... and all of them taste the same (in a way). There’s an underlying burnt-rice flavor to all of their beers that I just can’t get past. Bottle. Deep yellowish with a small head... again, here’s that burnt rice flavor. Malty and plain. I’m not sure what they use to make all of their beers have that same rice flavor, but I’m not impressed.

Bottle. Lemon/orange - jasmine aroma - very unique. Pale yellow color - slightly cloudy with small head. Light lemon / tea flavor - little malt or hops flavor. Refreshing but light and not very much beer flavor.

Hazy pale yellow body, thin off-white head. Not nearly as cloudy as that scanned pic! Nose of orange peel and coriander with tangy wheat undertones. Sharp refreshing body with orange peel and plenty of coriander that leaves a nice finish. Surprisingly tasty and quaffable.
