Christmas gift from my wife. Dark brown, almost black, fluffy beige head fades to ring. Chocolate is first in the aroma, roast grains second. Taste is almost chocolate milk, very creamy consistency, plus sweetness could help pas this off as a milk Stout. Pretty solid RIS.

Pours dark brown with a medium size tan head, good lacing. Aroma of rich chocolate, roast coffee, leather and sweet caramel. Taste of chocolate, roasted coffee, grainy, ashy with a nice mild pepper bitterness in the finish

Bottle: Dark brown color with a modest beige head. Potently sweet nose filled with sugars and molasses. More in the taste. Lots of sugary sweetness, malts… approaching cloyingly sweet. Some burnt sugars help, but holy hell this is a sweet mess. I don’t know if this is McCall’s first bottled offering, but it doesn’t reach the bar they’ve set at the pub. I will certainly revisit this cause I know these guys make better beer.

On tap at the Barley Bros Brew Fest, Meridian ID. Black with a deep brown head. Awsome aroma of vanilla and cinnamon and chocolate. Like a Mexican mocha. Flavor is more chocolate tootsie roll and some sweet spiciness. Fairly dry bodied and some squeaky mouth feel. Tartness at the end. Nice.
