This year's batch reexamines the relationship between bourbon barrel character and Madagascar vanilla with one of the most expressive vanilla profiles. Conditioned on 140 pounds of Madagascar vanilla beans and meticulously blended from carefully aged bourbon barrels, this year's vintage opens with rich aromas of vanilla and oak, followed by dark chocolate, bourbon sweetness, and warming baking spice.

Aromas are dark malt, roast, cocoa, yeast, and a hint of coffee. Flavors are similar to nose and a bit more sweet than bitter. Plus some odd herbal/floral component. Not really an asset although it does make it more interesting.
