I saved this beer for my finale at the Tall City Invitational held at Tall City Brewing in Midland this last Saturday. The pour was from a keg and it showed a shiny dark brown in color with minimal foam. I got a scent of coffee from the brew and really not anything else. The drink was lightly chocolate, grain, coffee and earth. Sadly I did not note any impact from the barrel aging. The sensation was thinner than I like in an imperial stout. Pass.
