The first beer I sampled at the Tall City Invitational this past weekend in Midland and also my first beer from Old Sheepdog. It poured black, completely black out of a can, with a small ring of silver-tan foam. I smelled malt and grain, no surprise. The taste was much the same as the nose, with perhaps a touch of coal. Not a lot of excitement in this brew.
