Refreshment or bust! Orange peel, coriander, and chamomile stake their claim in this unfiltered White Ale, named for our fair city's founder, Moses Cleaveland.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with an egg shell white head. Aroma is of coriader and oranges. Flavor is a bit weak but there are notes of lemon and spice. Nothing really stands out and finishes pretty weak and bland.

Pours so light and a little hazy with lots of effervescence. Head is white and foamy. Aroma is of spice, dough and maybe bananas. I expected a little more from this one. Flavor is a little flat and doesn’t really have much complexity. Wheaty flavoring is mild with a little bit of spiciness from the coriander they added, but I found it hard to detect and pin down.

Draft sampler at GLBC. Pours white with a yellow creamy center. The banana taste is subdued, thank goodness, leaving a nice coriander wit taste. Finish picks up with some lemonade and bitter European hops.

Bottle Pours a very pale lemon yellow with very little head of coarse bubbles. A thin ring of white musters up only slight lacing. Belgian spice aroma with lots of citrus. Agree with previous "unsweetened" clomment, with citrus and yeast. Moderate thick feel and I thought the carbonation was quite lively. Drinkable and not too heavy.

What an intriguing concept - a Belgian wit with chamomile. Different but nice. +++Sampled from a 12 oz bottle this beer poured a cloudy yellow-orange with a small creamy white head that lingered for what seemed an eternity. The aroma was fruity, spicy and sweet. The flavor was thick with spice, hops orange and a strong chamomile presence. A truly interesting beer. I doubt that I could drink mass quantities of it, but it was certainly worth the try.

Clear, light yellow, with a large head. Smells slightly floral and lemony. The flavor is chamomile and lemon- not quite like chamomile tea. Kinda plain, kinda boring, but really not bad.

700 beers with no end in sight. I am not really a big fan of this style but I really couldn't ask for much better after mowing the lawn. Pours a light yellow color (mildly opaque) with a rather compact white head. Aroma of citrus, spice and vanilla. Light, crisp and refreshing with a nicely spiced and lightly hopped flavor. The finish is vigorously crisp (citrus) and lends to enjoying this Wit longer than I do most others of the style.

Ahem, where's the nuages? If I don't see some clouds in my wit, it's a problem. Slight citrus - lemon, lime. Vague spice flavours. Palate shot when I had this? It's unlike Great Lakes to produce such useless beer.

Complete with a thick, white head only Moses could part! Waves of coriander, orange, and wheat lap to, rather than crash to, the shore of my anxious mouth. Teasing apart these wits is tough, but I feel Holy Moses is a competent example. Perhaps a touch too bitter and too carbonated. Still, I'd swim in a choppy pool of the Holy Moses.
