The is a pretty beer almost an amber/brown color. A well balanced beer that is great for the summer months. Unlike the porter, this is the beer that put them on the map.

Medium brown with a creamy white head. Sweet malty aroma with light fruity hops in the aroma. Not much of one, though. Flavor has plenty of molasses, malts, sweetness, a surprising amount of vanilla, too. Sometimes, a swig would remind me of cream soda. Nice, relaxed brown. (Sixer from a good buddy of mine)

Bomber from Nimbleprop. Nose is lightly tosty and caramel malt. Claer light brown with a big, long lasting beige head that lightly laces.. Flavor is a light bitterness and lots of caramel and a lightly roasty coffee note. Pretty good brown ale.

22oz bottle. Golden brown with a loose cream head that fades quickly; rich malty aroma, with some earthy caramel; strongly malty flavour with burnt toffee; and a clean lightly hopped finish. A rather good brown ale.

Overall Impression: A Richmond classic, man, I can't believe I've never rated Legend Brown. I was just adding some beers I drank at Legend the other day, and I realized this one hadn't been added yet somehow. Anyway, I should rate this off a new bottle, but I use to drink this one a lot back in my Richmond days, and it is a pretty nice, enjoyable drinking, local beer.

650ml bottle. Thick and rich brown color. Nice creamy head. Tangy and fruity flavors that Iβm assuming come from the Legend yeast work much better in this beer than in the porter. This beer is full bodied, rich, and still remains highly drinkable. Great session brown ale. re-rate 2/10...looks completely filtered out, thin and a very enjoyable, easy mouthfeel. Clean, thankfully lacks the sticky mouthfeel due to the over-use of specialty malts a lot of brown ales suffer from. Still a great session BA,

Bottle. Pours a chestnut-brown with creamy, long lasting head. Malty aroma. A hint of hops in the end, but mainly a caramel-ish taste. Smooth and not as full bodied as I would like for a brown ale.
