Appearance: dark amber to red color with a finger's worth of off-white/cream colored head which took it's time to dissipate then left some super light lace
Aroma: sweet oats, smooth sweet caramel & toffee; emphatic earthy tones with breadiness and a little bit of funkiness
Flavor: wraps up the prior noted aromas to a fine funky sweet earthy blend; finishes somewhat malty sweet with a speck of bubblegum-esque accents
Texture: light to medium bodied; slightly sessionable; good smoothness; good carb level
Overall: good amber saison I could return to for me but I can see how many saison fans may not be thrilled with this one.

12 ounce can. Hazy orange brown color. Earthy, yeasty, malty aroma. Tangy, sour malt flavor has notes of toasted bread, funky yeast and old orange peels. Quite unique as beers from Oxbow go. Medium bodied. Tangy and herbal with tea-like notes. Definitely a Saison of another color.

Draft @ Birreria Volo, Toronto. Pours a slightly hazy pale amber golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty flavor with weak hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty finish with hints of caramel.

On tap at HaandFest. A lightly hazy dark golden-orange beer with a nice white head leaving lacing. Pale malts and a light bready touch in the back of the aroma, biscuits too, with a subtle scent of pine cones, grass and yeast. Quite fruity. It's dry on the palate, medium bodied and nicely carbonated, with a mostly fruity flavor. Nice bitterness too. Biscuits, light bread, grass and some pine cones. Long, dry, light bitter finish. A quenching beer that gives the impression of being stronger than it's 4% ABV. 170526

Draft at The Farmhouse Tap and Grill, Burlington, VT. Clear deep gold, white head. Aroma of malt, spice and yeast. Taste is Belgian yeast, spice, malt, some fruitiness, funk, floral notes. Light and refreshing.
