Bottle. Amber beer with a reasonable white head. The aroma is gently spiced, and the flavour is rich and malty with spice and fruityness. Overall a nice more Belgian ale style of beer than anything else. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Ramshead, Annapolis, MD. AA clear, amber colored beer topped by a dense, off-white head. Some curtains. Wort, malts and a generic fruityness in the aroma. The flavor has some yeast and a decent bitterness as well as the wort-like malts and fruityness. It’s dry and nicely carbonated, medium body. Lasting fruity and malty finish with a yeasty touch. Not much Belgian going on here. 150621

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, grain and some fruitiness. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long malty, sweet and grainy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/3/2013. Pours moderately cloudy deep orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of orange, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of orange, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, biscuit, light honey, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy yeast spice on the finish; with lingering notes of orange, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, biscuit, light honey, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; with a nice crisp malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice saison. Good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

22oz bomber more than two years old. Unfiltered orange-tan body. Massive foamy head. Sort of seems infected, and at the same time heavily oxidized. Aspirin dry aroma. Really long gone, this is quite bad. Some amber malt oddness. Really unenjoyable. Drain pour. Do not age this beer.

355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours hazy amber, decent off-white head. Light spice on the nose, and a fruity maltiness. Noticeably yeasty. Taste has sherbet and more spice, quite a sweet finish. Good.
