Bottle from Deveney’s, Dublin. Darkish amber pour with a fast fading head. Sweetish aroma with some hop, but not really leaping out at you. Grapefruit , sweet malt and hop in the flavour, with a slight metallic tang towards the finish, which was dryish and moderately bitter. Tolerable, but nothing special.

2010-06-19, bottle, 6-4-6-3-13=32
Hazy amber color; the bottle is a gusher; in the glass there is first of all just 100% frothy foam. Not much hop in the aroma (unfortunately the bottle is not fresh anymore), but some vegetables. Quite good caramel flavor, some residual sweetness; quite strong bitterness, but with no soul.

Amber color. The aroma is slightly hoppy and resiny, as expected, but not impressive. And indeed the flavor is too roasted: roasted nuts and roasted malt. Strong bitterness. It doesn’t go in the direction that I like.

(Cask at Chelsea Cask Festival) Amber and lightly hazy. Small white head. Molasses and hops in aroma. Medium bodied palate with little carbonation. Malts, hops, sweetness, fruitiness, bitterness and grass in taste. Hops and bitterness in afertaste. Too sweet aroma but otherwise ok.

Overall Impression: Pretty hoppy for a Pale. Nice taste to it. Enjoyed it more then the other River Horse Beer in my August 2008 Beer of the Month package.

Pours a light orange color with a off-white head. Smells pretty fruity and sweet. The taste is smooth and sweet. Really drinkable, even though I drank it in a pretty bad mood. Some hops mostly fruitiness though. A good example of an APA.

12oz. Poured a dark-coper color. Hop flavor was alright, but not as much as I figured with it being called "Hop Hazard."

Poured a transparent murky gold with yellowish green tints and a clump white head. Herby and slightly citrus aroma. Flavor was of fresh cut grass. Palate was very watery. Average at best.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a mahogany color with a small tan head. The aroma is sweet nutty malts with spicy and floral hops. The flavor is tangy and nutty malts with floral and spicy hops. The hops dominate and linger.

Golden amber ale with a thin white head. Caramel malt aroma with very faint hops. In mouth, a rather light bodied APA with light malts and the faint floral hops. Too light, and dissapointing. No Hop Hazard here, whycall it that??? August 26,2006 at McGregor’s, Henrietta, NY.
