Hazy amber orange color topped by a large creamy beige head. Toasted malt aroma, hints of caramel and yeast. Tangy bittersweet malt upfront. Nice peppery hops come after initial palate. Notes of brown sugar and vanilla. Finish is dry and bitter.

12 ounce bottle. 5.5% alcohol. I’m verifying this change with the brewery. Pours a murky amber color with a medium white head. A sweet caramel and light dusty nose. A pretty basic and clean amber with light floral hops and caramel. The bitterness in the finish is at odds with the beers character. Decent.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours dark ruddy amber with a small creamy beige head. Smells like caramel malts. Med body. Flavor is pretty malty. Probably not far off the style. There is a little bitter. In the finish there’s something reminding of chocolate. Seems a little more bitter with repetition.

wow, really surprised that this was so poorly rated, a really enjoyable amber/bitter/esb. very well balanced and a little of a macro flavor to it, but still a great session beer.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 1/23/11

Aroma: The nose is earthy, with a good amount of caramel, musty notes, and some nuttiness
Appearance: It pours a dark amber color with a beige head and some scattered lace
Flavor: Solidly malty flavored with a good amount of caramel balanced by earthy and herbal hops
Palate: The body is fairly smooth with average carbonation and a medium bodied feel
Overall Impression: Overall, I actually found this one to be a pretty well-made ESB. It's solid enough and I don't have many qualms with the quality. It is definitely a quite drinkable beer. Nothing particularly special, but a decently sessionable brew.

Dark brick red with a beige head. Malty aroma with dough and light spice. Flavor is malty, light sweetness, a touch of spice, and some fruit. Finish has a nice bite from the heavy carbonation and a slightly dry finish.
