Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. Blue Paddle refers to the implement our warehouse manager's Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

bottle - Pours pale gold with a one finger white head. It smells of pale malt and mild hops. The flavor is of biscuity malt with well balanced crisp hops. It’s light, not watery, and pretty refreshing. Nice pils. Rerated 7/26/14 - Not as good as I’d originally rated it... it’s refreshing though pretty average. Grainy. Mild hops. Light and crisp.

Light, hazy blond color. Light aroma, but with some hop, and light fruitness. The flavor as well is not bad: light mouthfeel, dry, with light crispy malt and the hopping is quite good.
Draught at Cricket’s Grill, Waco, 2006-12-22, 4-2-5-3-11=25
Hazy blond color. Poor aroma. The flavor is ok, with some malt, but very simple. The bitterness is medium high. Ordinary Lager.

33 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy yellow with a lacing white head. Slight fruity hops nose. Fruity flavour, very mild and refreshing. Slight bitterness in the finish but mainly with a persisting light fruit note. Nice.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a medium white head that dimishes to a small head. The aroma is hops and wheat grass. Nice lacing on this one that stays. The taste is wheat and malt. A decent pilsener from new belgium.
