Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 12/7/11

Aroma: A fairly light nose with some clean herbal and grassy hops, citrus notes and some malts
Appearance: Clear golden with a lasting foamy bright white head, heavy lacing, and lots of movement
Flavor: The taste is lightly sweet, and lightly bitter, fairly balanced, and with a crisp hoppiness to it
Palate: The body is light, but not really watery, and it has a crisp, clean, and rather drinkable mouthfeel to it
Overall Impression: This isn’t a great beer by any means, but it is a clean and refreshing Pilsener. I could see using this one as an above average lawn mower beer. It isn’t at the top of the style, but I couldn’t find any major gripes with it either. The pour is a nice plus too, with a clean and filtered appearance and a head the never seems to dissipate. Honestly, I think I liked this one more then most others seem to have.

12oz bottle. Poured a clear golden copper color, white head, medium sized. Aroma was boring pale lager malts, cereal grains, touch of fruit notes, crisp, but pretty uneventful.

Tap @ New Belgium hub, DIA. Pours light yellow with a white head, loads of fine bubbles heading for the surface. Aroma of pilsner malt, grassy and floral hops. Taste is like aroma with light bitter floral hops. Thin body, lively carbonation. Standard pilsner, somehow boring. 140411

We had a keg backstage at Tour de Fat in Denver for VIP’s such as myself. Since it was 90 degrees with no clouds a nice refreshing Pilsener was just fine by me. I had about 6 of them this afternoon before going over to Great Divide to finish myself off. Pours a gold color and tastes of grass, minerals and slightly soapy and citrus. finishes bitter and crisp.

Fairly straightforward and boring - a slightly creamy mouthfeel - a lot of cereal grain flavor - a slightly spicy noble hop character, particularly in the finish - overly sweet/slightly under attenuated, like many of New Belgium’s beers - those noble hops are kind of the saving grace of the beer, but no even they can spice up the blandness.

12 oz. bottle, "mix-a-six" rack at Hy-Vee, Storm Lake, IA. Basic pour with a clear, golden pils color and a thin head of foam in my tumbler. Some oxidation right up front, that never really goes away. Definite all-malt taste with a proper golden pilsener toast. But that skunkiness is staying in the beer, overpowering what should have been a decent brew. Bottle read "Best before 20NOV09," so maybe it sat on the loading dock too long?

Finish is crisp and light with some bitterness and light hints of citrus. Overall, not a bad pilsener, did not have the nasty metallic mouthfeel that plagues so many pilsener.

Pours with a fluffy, decent sized white head and a clear golden body. Good lacing. Aroma of grass and sweet, raw malt. Taste is crisp with grass and cereal. Decently bitter on the finish. A touch metallic, but a good pilsner, and very drinkable. Lively, but non forced carbonation, dry mouthfeel. Good for what it is. If I was rating on strict style guidelines this would be a lot higher, but I am rating on preferences.

good pilsner, a little bit of bitterness, which makes it highly drinkable but doesn’t deliver for me.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet citrusy. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus and malt, leading to a slightly bitter finish. The body is light.
