12 ounce bottle. Hazy Amber orange topped by a small creamy beige head. Toasted malt nose hints at spicy hops. Crisp toasted malt flavor has astringent, spicy, burnt sugar and roasted nut notes. Peppery hop finish. Dry aftertaste.

Tap pig iron. Maroon & clear. Mild beery aroma. Farely mild initially then it tries to become like an IPA, hop bitterness sets in. Yes, an APA trying to be an IPA but never quite gets there. Medicinal finish.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark red color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Messy lace.
The aroma starts with some nuts and malts. Then some citrus and piney hops contact the rest of the aromatics nicely.
The flavor leans sweet through a blend of the previously mentioned aromas. Rugged malty aftertaste with the same sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonated fine, it moves pretty well across my tongue.
Overall, decent amber ale that I could come back to.
