Kyle first pulled on his brewing boots and walked into the Double Mountain brewhouse in the spring of 2009, and still, after 17 years, he still calls up Double Mountain owner, Matt Swihart for assistance and advice; head brewer, Greg Balch, and longtime brewer Matt Coughlin for opinions, notes, and to schedule disc golf dates.
Though our travels and choices took our family roughly 4,900 miles away to England, we found ourselves back, opening our pub just 361 feet from Double Mountain Brewery. Having the crew at Double as our pub neighbors and friends has been one of the sweetest and most reassuring elements of this past year.
It’s an honor to be so close that the long shadows cast from our pub’s building at the end of the day can reach theirs.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a clear golden amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, some pine, and red grapefruit. Flavour has a rich resinous hop character upfront, along with red grapefruit, with a solid bready caramel malt base. Piney, resinous, moderately malty finish. Nicely done.
