22 oz bottle, enjoyed probably 10 years after I tried this incredible brew for the first time. Quite sure the bottle wasn't waxed the first time or two around, but it was definitely just as good. Love an imperial stout with no barrel or adjuncts needed. Dense midnight pour with a dense espresso brown foam head. Rocky and long lasting. Burnt toast, espresso roast, cocoa on the aroma. Thick bodied, caramel, coffee, a little char. Creamy, bold, layered. Plain imperial stout can be an absolute stand out of a style. This is incredible. Usually rave about OSBs hops, but it doesn't get much better than this.

22 oz bottle from Tavour, 2/17/20. Dark brown-black color, with a thick, creamy foam of brown head that leaves strong lacework on the glass. Strongly dry, roasted coffee aroma and flavor. Licorice, anise, and a little dark chocolate. Drinks full bodied, fairly bitter, and a little boozy. Pretty nice example of big, boozy adjunct-free Imperial Stout. Old Schoolhouse seems about right, because this is definitely an old school RIS (and I mean that in a good way). 7/5/8/4/15

Bomber from Tavour. Normal pour, black with small beige head. Nose is faint, doesn't give much away. Chocolate, roast. Tadte picks up the roast malts, instant bitterness, behind lurks some dark chocolate, cocoa. Minute amount od sweetness.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of creamy chocolate, spice, and roasted malts. Flavors of creamy coffee, bitter dark chocolate, grass, alcohol and dry roasted malts. Acidic bitter finish. IBU should be high but too much hops distracts.
Fairly thick and roasty. Bit too burnt/bitter.

Bottle, purchased on the now defunct LetsPour. Pours opaque black with a medium creamy tan head and great lacing. Aroma is quite roasty with prominent notes of molasses, pine, deep roasted malts, some bitter cocoa. Flavor is not particularly sweet, medium bitter, rich roasty, lots of molasses, hints of anise, cocoa, rye bread, ashtray, grass. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Nice to come across an impy that is most definitely not playing the sweet game.

Bottle - Some herbal hop notes, dark roast and cocoa. Jet black with a rich brown. Earthy herbal hops and dark chocolate. Interesting and the hops are aggressive.

Bottle from Elizabeth St., Bellingham; there is a "best after" date but it can’t be read
Dark brown color, near black, with small head. Nice aroma, roasted malt, some chocolate, some tar, light coffee. Good body strength; strong flavor of roasted malt, with dark caramel, some coffee and pungent hop resins; strong bitterness too.
Imperial Stout by the book, very good.
