The needle drops on a fresh new chapter Project Dank - Vinyl Edition. Before algorithms. Before autoplay. Before everything went digital. There was vinyl. Warm sound, intentional listening and the ritual of letting an album spin all the way through. For this latest pressing, Mosaic, Krush and Idaho 7 are spinning together to lay down a layered expressive hop profile packed with vivid aroma and deep groove. Bright hop character and punchy flavor notes ride alongside bursts of dank resin, while a smooth malt backbone keeps the whole track balanced from front to back. Rich, immersive, and built to be enjoyed all the way through - no skipping required.

I found a 16 oz can at Trader Joe's in Santa Fe. La Cumbre is a fine New Mexico brewery so let us see what they have here. A slightly hazy gold body and a proper cover of ice white foam. Globe glass ready to go, I make the pour. The nose is tropical and citrus, hops and cut hay. The taste is pretty much old school IPA with some small New England style effects. Grapefruit strongly, a hint of pineapple, orange zest, pine resin and malt. Bitter certainly and an oily sensation. A decently good IPA, I am glad to to sample it.
