Glas gedronken tijdens bier festival in Oirschot. Goudgeel, iets troebel bier met stevig schuim. Aroma is moutig. Smaak is fruitig en licht sprankelend.

Geprobeerd met Inoven en Roelzie1986 op het Brabants Bierfestival te Oirschot. Het is een troebel geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een frisse fruitige geur en smaak, licht citrus achtig.

Tap @ Brabants Bierfestival. Slightly hazy yellow with a small white head. Smells slightly sour, fruity, malts. Tastes fruity, sweet, malts, decent. Medium body, soft carbo.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, foamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity aroma, hints of apricot and peach, a minimally artificial, sugary touch of "Trolli Pfirsichringe", cautious, peppery spicy, yeasty overtones. Taste is slightly dry, minimally tart, fruity, hints of apricot, peach, a refreshing fruit acidic touch, peppery spicy, yeasty overtones; dry, minimally waxy, hoppy finish.

Bottle at home, golden beer small, medium head. Aroma is yeast lemon, pepper, Taste is the same, not bad.

33 cl bottle @ home, about one year old. Clear golden color. Huge white head with long retention. Aroma’s: dusty, fruity, light grain. Retronasal there’s fruit, light sourness, light herbs. Flavor is light sweet with some fruity sourness. Medium bodied. Finishes slightly dry with some spices and herbs, hardly any bitterness. Nice enough, although not great for the style.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Bliksem Saison In The Abyss ].Unclear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, saison yeast, floral fruit, yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, yeast, wheat, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150925]

Bottle courtesy of Douberd, many thanks! Hazy orange color with huge white head. Aroma is tart-fruity hops, doughy malt and herbal spices. Taste is spicy, doughy, slightly tart (not sure if it’s from the wild yeast or from the hops), but then it turns a bit phenolic and spicy in the finish. Rather high carbonation. The hops fade very quickly, what’s left is a challenging mixture of dough, herbal spices and phenolic booziness. Not excellent after the first two sips. But it does still give you a dirty feeling and it has traces of hops in the aroma left. I was listening to Slayer’s "Seasons o fthe Abyss" while writing this rating and the beer is indeed kinda like the song: At first, it’s screaming "hello" with the nice hoppiness in the aroma, but after all, it’s quite "solala", as one would say in German. But then, after some more minutes, it becomes more quenching and reminds more of a classic Saison. Nice.
