Like FDR’s Depression-Era Radio Addresses, which were like a kick in the butt and a hug at the same time, our Fireside Chat is a subtle twist on the traditional seasonal brew. We begin with a rich, dark, English-style ale and then we improvise with spices until we know we have a beer worth sharing with the nation. Celebrating the right to be original.

Date and nutmeg aroma. Clear brown, effervescent, thick puffy tan head. Briefly sweet raisin flavor which suddenly becomes tart currant and finishes with nutmeg. Nice dimensions, medium body. Solid and unique.

12 ounce can from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy dark brown color with a large tan frothy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of heavy spicy notes, citrus, raisins, berries. The taste is bitter berry-like fruit notes and a spicy finish. Medium bodied. Not really liking this.
