On tap at Sori Taproom, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out vanilla, light cocoa and a hint of roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with vanilla, some cocoa and a nice caramel malt backbone. A touch of roast too. Nice vanilla character. It's solid.

Bottle. An unclear dark brown beer with a beige head. Lightly roasted aroma with some licorice notes, coffee hints and a vague chocolate hint. It's full bodied, faintly warming and nicely carbonated, with a light bitterness in the flavor. Roasted malts, coffee and some licorice notes in the flavor, lasting for a good while. Nice, byte a bit boring. 171231

dark brown colour, around an inch of dense beige head; aroma of over-roasted rye bread, coffee, dark chocolate, ash and maybe some dried plum; taste of roasted-burnt woody notes, coffee and some over-roasted sunflower seed and nuts; goood one, though its taste lacks some more complexity
