Tap at Oluttupa Viisi Penniä, Helsinki. Originally rated 09092011. Colour is almost black with small head. Aromas and flavours: Chocolate, hints of coffee and roasted malts.

Draught@Bruuveri. Deep rubyish black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is rather strong cascade, roasted malts, some slight floral notes and mild coffeeish notes. Flavour is quite similar with a big hoppy finish. Balanced. Interesting superhopped porter.

Pours black with a tiny foamy head. Aroma has notes of slightly roasted malts, licorice and caramel. Taste is quite full bodied with notes of slightly roasted malts, salty sweetness and licorice. Long lasting finish with some bitterness. Great, well balanced and tasty porter.

Draught at the brewpub in Helsinki on July 21, 2011Black color, tan head. Sweet, malty, roasted scent. Sweet, chocolate taste. Moussy mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.

Draft at Panimoravintola Bruuveri. Very dark brown, beige head. Aroma of chocolate and light spice. Taste is cocoa powder and coffee grounds. Tasty.

Draught @brewpub 13.7.2011. Poured dark brown with a beige creamy head. Aroma had lovely fresh hoppy aroma, piney even along with some roasted malts. Flavor was fruity hops, roasted malt and cocoa. Very dry finish, but with a long roasted aftertaste. Medium bodied. Very interesting porter, very enjoyable!

Draught at the brewpub. Near black, creamy head. Aroma of coffee and aniseed. Dry with clean mouthfeel. Tarry and roasty with medium body. Long, very bitter finish. A hoppy, bitter but edgy porter.

Draught (Bruuveri, Helsinki) - Very dark, almost black with a tan head. Plain chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and some soapy hops in the aroma. The taste is roasted with chocolate, coffee and some soapy elements in the taste as well. Enjoyable.

(Draught at the brewpub, 20110701) The beer poured almost black and quite clear. Its head was medium sized and light brown. Aroma had roasted malts, chocolate milled grain and fresh malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, hops, pine, chocolate and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. A bit weak porter with too dominant hops.
