Kräftige Stammwürze gepaart mit ausgewogener Hopfung. Goldgelb in der Farbe, süffig und bekömmlich zugleich, ist das Export eine echte Alternative zu den wesentlich herberen Pilsbieren.

Bottle: Golden, lively carbonation, stable white head; grainy nose, traces of vegetables and grassy hops, too; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; metallic and tart finish. Not good......

(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Strawy (cara-)malty aroma with a touch of dust and herbal and metallic hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Straight malty base with herbal accents; almost dry sweet-bitter finish with little hops character. Still a decent example of the style. 19.V.10

400ml from tap at Bistro Terrass on the Schlossplatz in Stuttgart (outdoor seating). Nice golden colour. Medium foam. Light malty aroma. Flavour with a few hints of malty sweetness. A bit buttery impression. Refreshing on a warm day (21.04.2006).

(Bottle 50 cl) Usually an Urtyp is a rather hoppy pilsener whereas an Export is a maltier, milder and rounder lager style. Here - at least on the label - the two are combined and clearly the latter term seems to win. Golden beer with a nice head and a lovely, full body. Marked sweetness and an almost absent bitterness. Good and rather typical Helles. 300902
